The Run for Army Marathon, abbreviated as RFAM, is an annual international marathon held in Mumbai, India, on Sunday’s before Republic Day and Independence Day every year from 5.30 am till 9 am. It is a marathon where citizens of India Run to show solidarity and respect for all Army Personnel Protecting Indian Borders, the funds generated thru this event are going to be exclusively used for Girl Child Education / Child Education of martyred Army personal including Army, Navy, Airforce, CRPF or Police personal protecting us citizens 24/7, 365 days a year.
The marathon is an event where people from all walks of life participate including Bollywood celebrities, sports personalities, business tycoons and amateur athletes to show their respect for Army which protects our Indian Borders, so that its citizen can enjoy freedom.

Raj started running in the year 2002. He has since participated in numerous long distance runs and challenges. He ran his first marathon in Mumbai in the year 2004.
He holds National Record of running The Bharathon 10,000 KM run in 165 days, with average of 60 KM per day.
The Bharathon is Raj's ambitious goal to set a Guinness world record by running 10,000 km across India in 120 days.
To create a Sustainable athelatics culture in India !
To spread awareness about this sport and highlight its health & lifestyle benefits to different and distant parts of the country especially Rural India as Running is largely an urban phenomenon today !
To popularise Running and athelatics as a sport and to catch the youth’s fancy! To identify running talent in age groups 12-14 yrs,14-16 yrs & 16-18 yrs with help of local running bodies which organize talent hunts coordinated with the run!
To bring this talent & train them for free at international standards to produce Goldsat international events for India especially Olympics!Aim is not to qualify but to win Medals at Olympics!!!!!!
